Gauss Management Research and Engineering Moves Facilities to Ogden

Today, the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) awarded Gauss Management Research and Engineering, Inc. (GMRE) a post-performance tax reduction for its expansion in Weber County. The corporate incentive is part of the state’s Economic Development Tax Increment Financing (EDTIF) program.

As part of the agreement, GMRE projects adding 50 new, high-paying jobs and investing nearly $4 million in Utah over the next five years.

“Strengthening Utah’s aerospace ecosystem is a core goal in our strategic development plan,” said GOED Commissioner Jefferson Moss. “GMRE’s expansion demonstrates how local innovation advances our strategic aim for workforce expansion in high-value engineering and advanced technology.”

Based in Ogden, GMRE is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business offering systems engineering, technology integration, and program management. They focus on Modular Expandable Laboratory System (MELS™), custom installation kits, and wire harnesses. GMRE is expanding its corporate headquarters in Ogden and adding a manufacturing warehouse in North Ogden. This move aims to strengthen the company’s ties to the expanding aerospace industry.

“This expansion is an investment in GMRE’s future and in the Ogden community that has been an important part of our story since day one,” said Larry Magley, chief financial officer of GMRE. “The support we’ve received through the post-performance tax incentive helps us continue investing here while creating new, high-paying jobs. We’re proud to grow our capabilities, strengthen our workforce, and continue building our future in Ogden.”
