Ednition will use AWS cloud and AI technology to expand RosterStream platform, helping edtech vendors personalize learning for underserved students.

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, UNITED STATES, August 6, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Ednition, Inc., the edtech rostering and integration company behind RosterStream, today announced it has been awarded a grant through the AWS Education Equity Initiative (EEI) to use AWS cloud and AI technology in support of its mission to remove infrastructure barriers standing between edtech vendors and the students they serve.

RosterStream is the infrastructure layer that leading edtech vendors rely on for rostering, SSO, LMS integration, and extended data, all built on open standards including OneRoster and Ed-Fi. Ednition processes over a billion records per week and has helped its edtech vendor partners integrate with thousands of districts worldwide, reaching millions of students. It allows vendors to say 'yes' to every district integration without the cost and complexity of building that infrastructure themselves.

“Rostering, integrations, and data infrastructure shouldn't be the barrier to vendors bringing amazing teaching and learning applications to districts," said Mick Hewitt, Co-Founder and CEO, Ednition. “AWS's support helps us close that gap faster, so edtech vendors can rely on RosterStream instead of building and maintaining that infrastructure themselves.”

AWS EEI provides eligible organizations with cloud credits to build and scale digital learning solutions for underserved learners around the world. With that support, Ednition plans to deepen two parts of RosterStream: Roster Intelligence, which automates data mapping and district onboarding, and Extended Data Domains, which extends rostering beyond enrollment records into the academic data vendors need to personalize learning, extending RosterStream's impact to the edtech vendors and districts that depend on it.

"Rostering and data interoperability are core to creating an engaging digital learning experience. By supporting Ednition's work on RosterStream, they can ensure edtech vendors spend less time on integration and more time building tools that improve outcomes for underserved learners," said Aanya Niaz, Education Lead at Amazon Web Services.

About Ednition
Ednition's flagship platform, RosterStream, lets edtech vendors say ‘yes’ to any integration with schools and districts, including rostering, single sign-on, extended data, and LMS, without the usual cost and complexity. Backed by College Board Mission Investment Fund, GSV Ventures, Reach Capital, Avalanche, Array Education, Long Term Impact, and a group of leading angel investors, Ednition is on a mission to eliminate the barriers to edtech integration and interoperability.
